What brought you into the animal field?
Growing up on a small farm in Northern Virginia and riding
horses instilled in me a deep love for animals, which is why I pursued a job in the animal industry.
List of places you have worked and experience in the animal field.
While I haven’t worked professionally in the animal industry, my experience comes from the farm I grew up on, where I was
hands-on caring for the variety of animals we had. Additionally, my background in the restaurant
industry has strengthened my work ethic, adaptability, and customer service skills, which I can apply
to my job at AACMP. Fun fact: I helped my old vet castrate my donkey when I was fourteen.
Where are you from and where have you been?
I was born in Florida, raised in Northern Virginia, and recently moved to Mount Pleasant for school.
Do you have Pets? List name and breed:
Yes, I have an orange tabby named Meatloaf, who is my pride and joy.
What are your hobbies/interests?
When I’m not working or studying to be a pediatric nurse, I enjoy working out, going to the beach, reading, hiking, riding horses, and spending time with my cat.
What do you enjoy about having or working with animals?
The most enjoyable part about working in the vet industry is the opportunity to directly help animals in need and see the positive impact on their
lives. It’s extremely rewarding to play a role in their recovery and care.
